Here is a list of all the folks who’ve worked with the Flickr Foundation. Thank you for your contributions!

Alex Chan

October 2023 – July 2025
Alex was the first Tech Lead at the Flickr Foundation. They laid a superb foundation for our technical outlook, and built our first suite of tools, both internal and external: Flinumeratr, Flickypedia, and the Flickr Commons Explorer. Alex was central to the creation of Data Lifeboat, and their documentation, speed, and thoroughness will be missed! Thank you, Alex!

Susan Mernit

December 2023 – December 2024
Susan helped us develop our playbook for fundraising, especially donor management. She also laid out great practice for collaborating with the Flickr.com team. Thanks, Susan!

Ewa Spohn

January 2024 – December 2025
Ewa joined the team as our general manager early in 2024. During her contract she worked on all kinds of things, from designing and running our fantastic Data Lifeboat workshops, to supporting our grant applications and reporting, to wrangling legal terms of use on Data Lifeboat, to sketching out new program concepts, and running our team meetings. We wouldn’t have come as far as we have without you, Ewa!

Joshua Christman

July 2024 – December 2025
We brought Joshua into the crew initially to help design and build our online shop, which he did with class and style. Then we discovered he can do all kinds of other design and brand work, so we immediately extended his contract and asked him to develop our social media presence, help develop our brand strategy and marketing, and make Data Lifeboat more usable, all of which he did with friendly aplomb. Thank you, Joshua!

Juwon Jung

Summer 2023 & Summer 2025
Juwon has joined us for her summer student placement for two summers now. In 2023, she developed our “The Generated Family of Man” research and publication in partnership with Maya Osaka, and in 2025, she returned to create our fabulous Data Lifeboat promotional video, which is excellent and spooked us all with its sheer quality. Thanks, Juwon. You’re the best!
