This is Oxford’s first conference on generative AI and efforts to prepare for the synthetic future, and George is on a panel called Future of art, media, and copyright in a generated world alongside Fattori McKenna, DPhil researcher at Oxford Internet Institute focusing on the politics and lived experience of art worlds on the blockchain.

We had a great panel session, and I really enjoyed talking with the other panellists, Tori McKenna and Amanda Curtis, who are both research specialists at the Oxford Internet Institute looking into AI art, ownership, and creators’ agency in the emerging synthetic media landscape.
